Title: Runner plank
Post by: Richard Larsson on October 01, 2011, 04:44:10 AM
Width at centerline (7-1/2 6-1/2 190.5 165.2). Does the rule mean the width of the wood or the finished plank inclusive fiberglass? I have heard that the thickness in the rule is about the wood, and the fiberglass may be thicker.

Could that mean that the Width (at centerline) are allowed to be 166mm wood and 250mm fiberglass added around the wood?

Richard....
I encourage you to present your question about the width dimensions of the runner plank to the IDNIYRA Technical Committee so that the committee can issue an official interpretation.

You may forward your request for an interpretation to me.  Prompt attention will be given to your question.

Thank you
Jane Pegel, chairman, IDNIYRA Technical Committee

The Technical Committee has made an interpretation of the specs that control the dimensions of a runner plank.
The interpretation can be found in the "Class Announcements" section of the forum.

The interpretation became effective October 6, 2011.
