Title: Re: World championship ice III Post by: John Davenport on January 23, 2011, 09:33:17 AM Large plates of ice ~ 25 miles north of Menominee MI on Green Bay where we had the GC & NA's 4 years ago I think. 3" of ice with a light dusting of snow. Too thin to sail testerday, but with the cold we are seeing now, will be 6" or more by Monday. Sailing reports to follow.

It would be epic Looks like it is about 38 hours of driving from connecticut so you would have to call it on Wed Night so we can get there in time to sail saturday. Lets do it. Driving time from Boston to Lake Geneva is also about 22 hours. I'd say 44 hours from Boston to Canyon Ferry, but plenty of time to make start of Bronze race at 1100 on Sunday because Canyon Ferry is on Mountain time.
