Title: US Representation at WC and EC DN Junior and Ice Optimist Championship! Post by: Geoff Sobering on January 31, 2007, 05:02:16 PM 4LIYC Ice Opti Skipper, Sheridan Hearn, age 12, will be representing the United States and the 4LIYC in the DN/Opti World Junior Championships to be held next week on Lake Rekyvos in Latvia. ;D
Those of you who attended the Western Region Championship a few weeks ago may remember the two Ice-Optis sailing around the pits area. Sheridan was sailing one of those boats. In a flurry of activity early this week Sheridan (US-18) and her father, Daniel Hearn (US-5352), were able to make arrangements to participate in the regatta. Stan Macur (P-111) arranged to get a boat for her. Sheridan will be participating in three days of training before the regatta starts on February 8th.
