Title: Re: The Fat Lady Post by: KB [us5219] on March 05, 2012, 09:02:23 AM Report from Traverse City, MI is that the heavy snow a few days ago (+/- 17 inches), Submerged the ice on Elk lake (one of our favorite spots for the Centrals or Fun Regatta) No reports yet from Houghton lake, Higgins Lake, or Long Lake all of which are further East and probably recieved far less snow. She is definitely warming up...

So Hubbard Lake (15 miles N) might be a possibility if we can get a checker. I'm guessing that Twin Lakes (near Lewiston) got clobbered. We might be able to scrub race on Van Etten Lake outside of Oscoda, but it's too small for Centrals.
