Title: Is there any hope left for the season? Post by: bmintz on March 14, 2012, 09:17:59 PM Mike Madge says that if we want to drive to Thunder Bay there may be some sailing around there. Is there any place at all that is OK, or should I find a barn for the DN? I would travel far this weekend. Any ideas?

70 degree weather has hit us early here. And for the first time in anyone (alives) memory we have had an entire season with no sailable (or even walkable) ice on Maumee Bay. The silence from my friends in Traverse City comes as no surprise and is interpreted as "No ice, or lots of slush - bring your snorkel". I have enjoyed this season (short as it was) more than the last. Thanks to all of you who I have gotten to know a little better this season. Looking forward to next year! Toledo Ice Yacht Club Banquet is on the 31st. If anyone is interested contact me and I can check into it for you. Seating is limited. Title: Re: Is there any hope left for the season?
