Title: Kids are Ready to Rock! Post by: Daniel Hearn on November 20, 2008, 11:59:26 AM The 2008 Ice Opti North American Championships kick off just two weeks from tomorrow (Dec. 5) with a practice day of boat set up, safety skills, boat handling skills, scrub racing, and general goofiness. Eleven kids from five different states are already signed up, with more expected. The field includes returning champions from the Detroit area dynasty and first-timers alike.
We anticipate having an extra boat or two available for others to try, so bring the kids along to the Western Challenge and make it a family affair. The kids are sure to have a great time with our other Ice Opti Pilots, and you'll be amazed at how quickly they pick up our great sport. Several of our tween-age Juniors are also expecting to make their debuts in DN's, also, in addition to their Opti racing. That's cool! Call or e-mail me with questions.
