I am pleased to announce the results of the September 2008 proposals to change the specifications and by-laws of the IDNIYRA. The governing group would like to thank all who voted. happy holidays! ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #1 -- Bow Tang Passed - 269 for / 13 against It will be in Effective Date on January 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #2 -- Runner Plank Mounting System Passed - 270 for / 11 against It will be in Effective Date on January 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #3 -- Bow Tang Passed - 269 for / 13 against It will be in Effective Date on January 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #4 -- Mast Step Hardware Passed - 267 for / 11 against It will be in Effective Date on January 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #5 -- Modify Runner Spec to Control Leading Thickness Passed - 264 for / 16 against It will be in Effective Date on January 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #6 -- Eliminate Confusion in Wording of Spec E.9 Passed - 273 for / 8 against It will be in Effective Date on January 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #7 -- Move Spec Applying to Wood Runners to the Wood Runner Section Passed - 277 for / 4 against It will be in Effective Date on January 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #8 -- Wide Mast Hound Passed - 266 for / 14 against It will be in Effective Date on January 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #9 -- Side Numbers on DN Hull Passed - 204 for / 78 against It will be in Effective Date on January 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #10 -- Port and Starboard Colors on DN Failed - 165 for / 115 against ----------------------------------------------- Proposal #11 -- Revision of Regatta Late Fee Passed - 178 for / 29 against It will be in Effective Date on 1 March 2009 ----------------------------------------------- Here is the raw results. http://idniyra.org/PB2008-results.html The theory being (for NA Members) that if you retained the top half of the ballot with your ballot ID on it you could validate the results of your vote by making sure your votes where counted correctly. humbly submitted by Jim McDonagh Secretary IDNIYRA us5214 Title: Re: September 2008 Proposal Results Post by: Paul Goodwin - US 46 on January 24, 2009, 03:01:53 PM Some people have remarked that it is hard to find the new changes to the Specifications and By-Laws.
