Same location? Title: Re: Worlds Post by: Ayes on February 09, 2010, 12:34:21 PM Thanks Ken.
Any more news? How did team US finish up? Nothing posted on the European site yet. Congratulations to Michal P-114 Ayes Title: Re: Worlds Post by: Ken Smith on February 09, 2010, 10:42:51 PM Winds were up, and there were some equipment breakdowns on the US team. Mike Derusha posted a few bullets, but two less favorable results in the lighter air on day one left him with one bad score he had to carry.
Registration for the Eurpeans was last night, and this is the venue. Light air forecast for today, Wednesday, and some precipitation tonight. Medium winds forecast for tomorrow. Windfinder.com is a wind surfing website with good weather graphics. Morbisch or Rust Austria shows the forecast winds and precip. I had no pencil when looking at the results, and my memory is not perfect, so they are approximate: A Ron about 12 Stange about 31 JR Francis about 40 B Mike Derusha is 2 (very close) Wendell 40-50 range Dan Connell 40-50 range Ken Smith 53 C Did not see, sorry. Title: Re: Worlds Post by: Ayes on February 10, 2010, 04:01:53 AM great job reporting Ken. I hope you are feeling better. (well enough to race in the EC?)

I was hoping that Mike D. would bring Leon's Silver Fleet Gold Cup trophy back to the US so that we could engrave all the names. We don't have a list of the silver fleet winners... nor do we know when they went to two fleets. I'll be doing some research on that and will get a list together this year.
Title: Re: Worlds Post by: Ayes on February 11, 2010, 10:58:02 AM I am sure that Mike would have loved to bring that trophy back with him. If one of those two 8th place finishes were a 7th ...
