Title: Maybe I'm looking for perfect condisions Post by: Russ ALLES DN1354 on February 25, 2010, 05:01:43 PM I was always under the impression that a DN had to have clear ice to sail on. But, I see pictures of them sail on snow covered lakes. No, not at sixty miles per hour but, it looks like fun. Any thought on that?

Also with so many boats in a fleet; drifts near the start can make it really unfair. So can big piles of goose poop, but you can ask Ron Sherry about that, he had to dodge such a mine field in Austria this year. Goose poop is murder on the runner edges!

Thanks for info about snow depth and conditions. Russ |
