What is Max. wind speed they will allow a race in?

There is no hard limit. The ice conditions, course length, etc. all play into the decision.
In general when the sustained wind is above 20 kn people starting thinking about it. I can't remember sailing an IDNIYRA race in more than about 25 kn (sustained), although we did some races at the GWC a couple of years ago in 25-30 kn.
