I have a plank for a new boat I bought that has one side straight and one curved when looking down from above. What side goes forward? Im a newbe. I know about the bow in the plank. This is different from that.

Welcome to the DN Fleet! When a plank is built that way, the straight edge is normally toward the back of the boat and the angled edges toward the front. Start out right--sail with others, wear a helmet, have accessible ice picks on you at all times, wear shoes/boots with spikes. Have fun!
