It is not an easy task to be a DN Rear Commodore.
1) They all have day jobs.
2) They are continually communicating with sailors at ice sites throughout their
regions.
3) They access every weather website in the universe, consult with local weather
forecasters, and agonize over every snow flake or rain drop.
4) They maintain hotlines and an email network, as well as posts on the Forum
5) They put together race committee and scoring teams, never knowing for sure
when and where these folks will really need to go into action.
6) They find places for regatta headquarters, set up the arrangements, and then
cancel.
7) They try to prep and race their own boats.
They're gracious to all.
It's a dirty job, but one that is essential to the DN Class.
You all have our sincere appreciation for your efforts.
