I recently acquired what looks to be a very old DN.  It is constructed mostly of dimensional lumber, there is very little plywood.  All the hardware is galvanized, there is no stainless.  The sail is made of sailcloth, with several sewn on patches.  There appears to be no battens.  A sail number of 78 is embroidered into the sail cloth.  How can I find info on DN# 78?   Thanks   Fred

The class Secretary should be able to look up who "owns" the 78 number.  That would get you to the original owner, if he is still alive.

There is no 78 in the electronic sail log.
I'm afraid I still haven't had a chance to look in the three-ring binders, but I doubt it's in there.
