The Central Regional Holiday classic?   Roll Eyes
We are discussing the possibility of having the 2011 Central Regionals on Thursday, Friday (29th and 30th).  The primary site is Lake Munuscong in the S.E. part of the U.P.  Other possibility is Houghton Lake.
Many people have the week between Christmas and New years off.  We easily have a dozen sailors ready to make the trek already.   We want to hear from whomever CAN make it there!  Cant make it?  2012 Centrals is around the corner if Mother nature allows!
This is a rare opportunity to do Centrals durning weekdays, and still be home for New Years.
Location is do-able for Wisconsin-area sailors.

Interesting Forecasts.  Still a bit warm, but After possible snow and rain, it is expected to go down to about 7 degrees Tuesday night.   After that it should stay below freezing.  The 7 degree weather could make another site viable by Thursday.  Meahwhile we are looking for ice reports, or word from anyone who ventures out to Munuscong.  Depending on reports and weather, Rich and I hope to be on site by wednesday night if not before.
Stay Tuned.

We have three boats going up to Lake Munuscong this week, planning to sail Wed, Thurs and Friday, be great to make a race work at this location during this timeframe.

Open to other locations if there's some place with better ice.

Thank you to the Central Region for making my first regatta a fun and memorable one.
