The Skeeter Ice  Boat Club 28th annual swap meet will be Sunday, November 3, 2013.   9:00 to noon - followed by a raffle.  Location: Lucke's Cantina, 220 N. Elkhorn Rd., (WI Hwy 67), Wiliams Bay, WI.  This is the day to swap, buy, and sell new and used iceboats and equipment.   Boat builders and hardware manufacturers will display new products.   Breakfast and/or lunch will be available at Lucke's.  Items for sale can be set upon the black top parking are at Lucke's.   Please do not park your cars jn the display area.   Please do not park or set up your displays adjacent to neighboring businesses.   A short distance to the north there is a municipal parking lot located at the intersection of Elkhorn Rd. and Stark St. (on the north side of Stark St., opposite Burrough's Floor Coverings).   
 
What will you find:  stern steerers, Arrows, Nites, DNs, Skeeters, trailers, masts, sails, runners.   Raceables as well as handyman specials.

No fee to participate.

  The Sandusky ice yacht club annual swap meet is November 23rd from 11:00 till 3:00. Bring all your unwanted equipment to sell or just come down to talk ice boats. We should have a lot of new ice boat buyers looking for parts and equipment. Smiley

Lots of stuff will be swapped at the Skeeter IBC swap meet in Williams Bay on  November 3rd.
Advance emails have revealed:
One guy looking for a DN to take to Montana.
One guy looking for a Nite to sail in Wisconsin.
Two guys for sure bringing Nites to sell.
One guy looking to sell a brand new Sitka spruce Nite mast
A brand new DN transfering to a new owner to take home to Minnesota.
Guys (and gals) picking up new DN sails and spars.
A family that is now into Ice Optis has a Skimmer to sell.
A used DN will be available (providing it doesn't get sold at the Gull Lake swap)
Misc shop tools.

No charge to participate.
Weather forecast sounds perfect.
Win iceboating gear in the free raffle.
Then on Monday night, put your feet up and watch the Packers beat up on the Bears.

Iceboaters who spent the morning at the 28th annual Skeeter Ice Boat Club swap meet held in Williams Bay, WI on Sunday November 3 were treated to an absolutely gorgeous November day.   Folks came from Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Upper and Lower Michigan and lots of gear changed hands, including Nites, DNs, Skeeters, a Skimmer.  rigging, runners, mainsheets, runner planks, booms, helmets..

Many thanks to those who contributed to the raffle, including S & R Marine, Composite Concepts, Skeeter IBC, 4 Lakes IYC, Pete Barrett (a.k.a. southshoreDNer), Mike Peters, and the Lake Riley Iceboat Club  (these guys produce marvelous prize winning maple syrup), and the IDNIYRA

Next stop, the Western Challenge!

Oops!   I neglected to include in the list of attendees at the Skeeter IBC swap meet, iceboaters from the state of Wisconsin, home of the Packers and the Badgers.

   Just a reminder. The Sandusky Ice Yacht Club swap meet is Nov. 23rd at 11:00 at the Sandusky Sailing club in Sandusky Ohio' We will have free beer and sandwiches. We hope to have a big turn out.
