Well, I hesitated to put this here, but I think this could happen to any of us. It's been a very frustrating ice sailing year in Minneapolis if you're not willing to travel much and many of us have been waiting for the spring melt to get some ice time. I was, in fact, sailing my DN the day before and I considered going on this lake, Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. This is a very public lake and I'm sure that played a factor in having rescuers and rescue equipment so readily available. It also got the story leading the news on every local channel.
