iceboat dmv registered

I was wondering if iceboats have to be registered even if there not going to be raced. I had to register my summer sail boat and was wondering if iceboats were the same?

Most states dont ask, maybe we're too small in number to justify any special laws yet.  do us all a favor and don't go asking somebody in government why they don't want to start regulating us more tightly.

As to similarity with your summer boat, as you can put wheels on them, they're very likely categorized as Off Highway Vehicles, not sure I want my DN street legal yet.
