As of the 1/14/2011 satellite imagery, there is an area of black ice about twice the size of lake winnebago in the North Channel between Little Current and Detour. It's ginormous! Anybody got any contacts up there? It is very remote; might have to hike to the ice and sleep in your DN. Oh well, maybe when I,m retired.

Now snow covered. Also, no hotels over 30 rooms within 70 miles. Oh well, the search continues.
