see the "Anyone near Alpena?" thread.
Weather permitting, Tawas Bay will be sailed Sunday for the third day in a row.
Sail from the park just south of the pier. Drive right out onto the ice.

Webcam view from today - Fri 2/25 looks good. I see reflection of buildings off the ice an a plate with no snow. Anyone in the area for an ice check today?

Bill Coberly checked and reported that though there is ice, it is the ice that blew out, then came back in, and it's too rough to sail.
