Just came in from being out on the ice on the Bay here in Thunder Bay.Rain over the weekend combined with cold temps. have made for a big smooth plate of ice out on the Bay.Plan on sailing Thurs. Tempetures are calling for lows of -18 C at night and highs of -4 right thru the weekend.Ice is still 30" +,could make for a great 4 + days of sailing.

Sailed tonight,you can litterly sail for miles.I sailed from Silver Haurbor all the way to town,absoulotly awesome.See pics at iceboating.net

Another faqntastic day on the ice.Probably put on over a 100 miles on the boat between sailing yesterday and today.Perfect ice boating weather,sunny -2 Celcious and nice 10-12 mph wind and miles of ice (I would rate as a Cool.It does not get any better then this. Smiley

That was suppose to say ice rated as a 8.met up with three guys that are all quite serious of building dn,s.

The beat goes on.another day of excellent iceboating.just keeps getting better and better.I am loving these spring conditions.absolutely perfect winds.steady out of the south building to about 14 kits.

That video was in maybe 10 mph wind,also me and my buddy weigh under 300 LBS combined.Not sure if you get a good view but maybe you could comment on the amount of mast bend.

Going to -6 Friday night,with high of only 4 Sat..Still 18" of ice on my camp lake.Maybe it is not yet time to pack the boat away.

Looked at t he videos didnt see any noticeable mast bend. I f you look at head stay should see 1ft   or more  for extreme bend, some guys are going for less bend .

 Here is a pic of my son testing one of our designs, plank is a little soft
using a old FO1 sail

Another good sail today.My Wife says it is my 50TH time out.She is probably right, again.
