Walking thru the crowd at the Annual International Antique & Classis Boat Show last weekend on Geneva Lake looking for renovation ideas for my '49 Chris Craft when DN, Skeeter, Nite and Stern Steerer skippers Bob Caves, Lou Loenneke and Mike & Julie Jankowski were delightfully surprised to see 2 iceboats prominently displayed...Tip of the helmet to fellow iceboaters Rick Henning and Fritz Buttons and crews for displaying the world's largest and smallest, currently sailing, stern steerers! The 54' Deuce and the Bluebird (built for Hank Morgan's 12th birthday 70+ years ago) were drawing a lot of attention from the huge crowd! Way to promote iceboating for all of us! The Green Lake team displayed a DN & Nite at our town's recent Harvest Fest...not nearly the exposure these gents had...but we had fun. Find us on the new website John Hayashi created for us last year...Thanks John!
