This topic is for official notices about the 2012 DN North-American Championship Regatta only.
The Notice of Race is at: https://ice.idniyra.org/racing/Notice_of_Race/2012/North_American_DN_Championship

I've also created a topic for informal discussion: http://dnamerica.org/forum/index.php?topic=1335.0

Final call to be made 6pm Feb. 23 2012, due to weather.
It still looks like Mallets Bay, VT.

The final call for the IDNIYRA North American Championship Regatta will be made this evening, Thursday February 23, at 6 PM. I will update the hotline 1-508-481-1011, box #4. (If you press 4 twice, it will go directly to the message.) I will also update on this page and the NEIYA web site.

Because of the slow-moving weather system on the east-coast the next update has been postponed until 9:00 PM Eastern Time this evening.

Location: Green Bay, WI

Launch Site:
PARK ALL VEHICLES AND TRAILERS ON THE ICE!! DO NOT PARK IN THE PARK OR PARKING LOT OR SHORE!!!
2487 Nicolet Drive, Green Bay, WI
Map
(near UW Green Bay)
From Hwy 43 North take Hwy 54/57 exit
Head North to Nicolet Drive East
Look for the sign that says "Curley Lambeau's Cottage"
I am told the launch is somewhat hard to see. There should be many iceboats there over the weekend sailing in the Northwest Regatta, so hopefully it will be pretty obvious. The plan is to have some kind of flag or marker to indicate where it is.

Lodging:
Regatta HQ
Comfort Suites
1951 Bond St.,
Green Bay, WI, US, 54303
Phone: (920) 499-7449
Map/Directions

The Comfort Suites has a "sister hotel" nearby that has the same rate. If you need it, they can give you the phone-number when you call to register.

Deteriorating ice conditions forced abandonment of today's races and the regatta is done.
