Mike Madge says that if we want to drive to Thunder Bay there may be some sailing around there.  Is there any place at all that is OK, or should I find a barn for the DN?  I would travel far this weekend.  Any ideas?

Sounds great.  However despite how supportive as my wife has been of the iceboating season for me this year, that trip would likely end up with a pile of spruce on the bonfire here by the lake.
70 degree weather has hit us early here.  And for the first time in anyone (alives) memory we have had an entire season with no sailable (or even walkable) ice on Maumee Bay.
The silence from my friends in Traverse City comes as no surprise and is interpreted as "No ice, or lots of slush - bring your snorkel".
I have enjoyed this season (short as it was) more than the last.  Thanks to all of you who I have gotten to know a little better this season.  Looking forward to next year!

Toledo Ice Yacht Club Banquet is on the 31st.  If anyone is interested contact me and I can check into it for you.  Seating is limited.

Squeezed one last day out on Caribou Lake on the UP with my son Benjamin and David Frost and his daughter Audrey.  We had a great time.  Now I am ready to put the boat up for the year.  What a great season I had.  Many thanks to all my new iceboating friends.  See you on the ice!

I'm glad to hear you got one last day of sailing in!  Grin

We've been taking advantage of the 70+ degree weather the past two weekend to get out the blokarts here in Madison:

It's not quite the same as the ice, but close...
