Europe has many women racers mentioned in the IDNIYRA yearbook (like Merili). I’m confident the USA has more Janes, Julies & Joris that may like to join our ranks so as I’ve been promoting the sport of iceboating I’ve been talking it up with a group I race with in Milwaukee…The Milwaukee Bay Women’s Sailing Organization. (I have a list of gals anxiously awaiting a call for a cruise in my Nite when we get ice) I’m on their committee again to host their 3rd annual Midwest Women’s Sailing Conference, May 11, 2013. This has been hugely popular, we take 100 participants and it fills quickly. As a holiday gift to a special woman in your life, consider surprising her with a day away with like-minded, adventurous women! Whether she’s a seasoned sailor or a beginner, this would be a fun and unique gift and beneficial to both your sailing futures…there are courses for all skill levels and outstanding female sailing instructors come from all over the country. Check out our event site
www.womenssailing.org sign her up and tell them Julie J sent you! P.S. We promote this conference heavily, including participating at Strictly Sail, and are currently looking for more sponsors and donors. Contact me if you’d like your co. name stamped on it! We’re a non-profit that is promoting the love of sailing.
