Ice Location: Lake Wingra   Nearest town Madison

Ice thickness:  Report thinnest ice checked!  Not Drilled.  3"  Visual

Ice quality:  How smooth, how hard: very smooth, very hard

I am not an ice checker.  I walked out on the ice with a group of skaters.  It was smooth, hard, and without holes.  We heard little cracking.   I would have felt comfortable sailing.

measured 3" at a drilled hole at the Wingra Sailing Center landing on saturday morning. NOT sailed.
