Results for the Easterns Sailed over 2 days in conditions from 3 -15 knots.  It was like getting run over by a dumptruck full of awesome.  Will post more tomorrow.
Thanks to the scorers, icespotters and other random people I am forgetting.

Sail Fast take Chances  US 5193 and US 4775

wnethercote:
Eric,

You, Eben and T deserve special thanks for your on-shore and on-ice support to the event.  Its success largely reflected your collective commitment to making it go well.  On behalf of the 'come from aways,' thank you very much.

As an aside, after the last race you asked me what I learned.  As someone who hasn't gone away much in 30-odd years of DNs, I reflected that the experience reinforced the need to foot rather than pinch.  When I later saw with some surprise that I had finished 6th overall, I reflected on those competitors who had decided to stay dry and not sail on Sunday.  It reminded me of an old engineering prof who had advised us that we would do better in his course if we came to all the classes.  Perhaps that is the key learning point from the weekend.

Again, well done!

Warren Nethercote, KC 3786
President, Nova Ice Yacht Club
