Members and guests of the Grand Traverse Ice Yacht Club are planning a Spring Picnic Saturday, March 24th, 2007 at the Whitewater Township Park on Elk Lake.
Food and drink will be offered after 11 a.m. to celebrate the iceboating season and the sport itself. We have put in a request for great weather- 50's and sunny - and will have t-shirts and other surprises for everyone.
The Fun Regatta Picnic is in lieu of the annual event, which fell victim to scheduling and other stresses. The late sailing season filled the calendar until this date, so we have planned this fun event to supplement our annual sailing event, which will return next year.
Whitewater Township Park is located off Williamsburg Road at the east end of Park Road..NE of Traverse City, Michigan
