For the first time ever we are handing the reins to our good friends in Madison at the Four Lakes Ice Yacht Club.

Minnesota had it's early ice and now we move on. We won't make anybody drive by the good ice in Madison.

Lake Kegonsa it is.

Lodging and the Launching information will be posted on the Four Lakes Ice Yacht Club web site

http://iceboat.org

Those of you from Minnesota, don't worry, it's the same driving distance to Madison as it would have been to any sailable ice around here.

Think Ice!

Primary Location:
 Lake Kegonsa, Madison, Wisconsin

The Canucks are coming. We have one from Nova Scotia, five from Kingston and at least one from Toronto on the way. Can't wait to get there!

The Hollywood Ice is a solid 4-5 inches and rated a 9.999! Thanks to Deb and the 4Lakes group for agreeing to host our Challenge event.
It could be a huge! Go to the iceboat.org website to pre-register to help with scoring for Sat/Sun.

Four Lakes has an info Page on the GWC regatta found here:  http://www.iceboat.org/seasons/14-15/dn/index.html
Of particular interest is the use this weekend of the "Darling Marks" and No finish gate.
Illustrations of Darling Mark can be seen @ http://www.iceboat.org/seasons/14-15/dn/2014%20Western%20Challenge%20Darling%20Mark%20Course.pdf
