I just dropped the cash on a Forstmann boom for my DN....it has some real advantages but also is a little prehistoric on the outhaul and the block adjustments.  What improvements are you guys doing?  I like the outhaul slug and shackle on my Bryant boom but it isn't easily transferred to the Forstmann Boom w/o cutting the extrusion.

Ideas?  Pictures?

Thanks in advance

Most people I know are using the stock outhaul.

The stock block-adjustments are pretty basic.

I've seen various systems where people link the blocks together (ex. with a strip of aluminum or fiberglass) and use a pin or screw to adjust three hangers at once from the rear of the boom. Sorry, I don't have any photos...  Sad
