Championships attract senior citizens.

There has been some discussion relating to the percentage of "senior citizens" participatng in the DN championships.

I submit that it is not an indication that interest in DN sailing is diminishing, but is an indication that younger sailors are not able to take the time away from work and school to attend events that begin on Sundays and extend through the work week.

If the Class would return to the schedule of holding a championship on Saturday and Sunday with Monday as a makeup day, it seems likely that the percentage of young people taking part would  increase dramatically and there would be an increase in the number of young people being interested in becoming owners of DN iceboats.

Let's give it some thought.
