Bob always a gentleman and great supporter of DN class passed away today. I first got to know him after an accident with him as I crossed the finish line. I will spare the details but tell you he treated me fairly and was quite gracious. My prayers are for family Jane and Suzie. DN2360. Pete

A memorial service for Bob is planned for Saturday morning March 28th.

Susie and I send our thanks to everyone for the kind words expressed by the iceboating community.
Iceboating and iceboaters certainly topped Bob's favorites list. 
We enjoyed Christmas day with fellow iceboaters and watched videos of past events,
One of his final wishes was for a zamboni to put us all back on the ice this season.

It appears that Bob's wish is coming true,
 with all the warm weather on the way next week.  Clearly, he has started up that heavenly Zamboni that will lead us back to the ice soon.  We shall all remain eternally grateful to the ice sailing legends who have shown us the way.  Sincere condolences to Jane, Suzie and the rest of Pegel family.
