OLD Gas and Electric Powered Belt Sander

I have an old german made belt sander with a removable cartridge style gas motor. I know that there was also an electric motor available at the time it was originally purchased. The belt sander was obtained by Jon Kumin sometime around 1986 or 1987 after he went to the Nationals or Worlds in 86 which ended up being held in Michigan I think. Does anyone know if those electric motors are still available? We'd like to use it in the shop to work on runners in the warm and dry. Thanks, Steve Ryan DN 3674
