Here in the UK there are a number of places where you can pay some £s to try land-yachting.  I have done this, it's a great fun alternative to my usual soft-water sailing/racing.  I would like to try iceboating one day - obviously it's not something I will get regularly involved in, but are there any places in the world where one can turn up and pay to try iceboating?

There are a number of DN sailors in the UK, they would be your best bet.

That said, if you want to come to Minnesota, we sail about 15 weekends every winter, and you're welcome to show up and freeze some snot to your forehead over here.  Contact me if interested.
