Congratulations to Matt

What an outstanding achievement to win three straight Gold Cups. 

As a pre-teenage sailor, Matt learned to sail his DN alongside his father and the Gougeon Brothers and has been racing DNs ever since, except for some time away to go to college. 

Simply a nice guy.  It's a pleasure to watch him sail.

I want to say thanks to the entire race committee and regatta organizers for the Gold Cup and North American Championship Regattas.  These events take a tremendous amount of volunteer work and your team did a fantastic job. 

A special thanks to Jeff Kent and Composite Solutions for donating a mast for the raffle!  What a great gesture to the class. I understand that the mast was won by Ken Smith and he plans to work with the OPTI group to raise money using the donated mast. Perhaps a drawing or live actuion? Now how cool is that!
