Cool!   Cool
I'll try to block out the time to get up there!

One question, blocks or rope, what is the pefered starting line?

I'm not sure there is a preference.  Each has its advantages/disadvantages.

For a small (20'ish boats) informal regatta, you may even be able to get away without a starting line at all...

Cheers,

Geoff S.

Here is the first choice location and accomadations. The owner has agreed to a great rate of $35 per person (that is Canadian ).Lake is ideal for freezing early as it averages 7' in depth. He has pretty much assured me there will be ice by the third week in Nov.
http://www.windypine.com/cottages.htm.

There is enough accomadations to hold 50-60 people.
