Ok, posted in Class Announcements section.  Same notice as last year, almost.

Best Ice in the Western Region the weekend after New Years weekend.  That's soon!  (Thunder Bay wants to be in the Western Region, as they are too far from the rest of Canada. Heck, they are to far from most everywhere!  Its an interesting idea...)

Also, Ice-Opti NAs, same site.

Trophies in Gold and Silver Fleets. Plus senior (50-59), Master (60-69) and Grand Master (70+)

Voluntary fleet split, no qualifiers.  RC may assign you to a fleet if fleet split is too out of balance.

Trophies for Silver Fleet boats who sail with plates only (declare intent at registration) if three or more sail for trophies.

Trophies for Silver fleet Rookies.  This is a sailor who hasn't sailed in a Regional Regatta in five or more years, if ever.  Declare claim on registration form.

You must:  Be a member of IDNIYRA.  Have liability insurance.  Conform to the rules of the IDNIYRA.   That's the rules. This time, get your hull numbers on!  Ugly tape is still legal.

Looking good for the regatta this weekend.  The primary site is Madison, with both Lakes Menonna and Mendota possibilities.  Renegade event there and boats on the ice tomorrow.  Renegades planning on Mendota, the northern lake.  There is room for two events there.

Menona is also looking good, and facilities nearby make this attractive.

Also, Wauwasee in Syracuse Indiana is reporting excellent ice with courses up to 3/4 mile.   Lake Saneschwine, in central Illinois is being sailed tomorrow.  These are back-up sites.  Madison may get some snow tonight (Wedesday) and tomorrow morning. Update Thursday evening about 7 PM for final site call and lodging information.

Ken - You would have looked better on TV if you still had your mustache.
