By bending a Sarns adjuster for the shroud, can you fit the marine eye fitting (on the end of the shroud) in the slot at the top of the adjuster,or does the adjuster have to be in place when you swage the marine eye?

The Sarns adjuster is slid over the stay prior to swaging.  I don't believe you can unbend the adjuster and manage to get it over the eye.  Plus unbending and rebending the adjuster could seriously weaken it.

I actually have a few unbent adjusters, polished on both sides, in the shop as of this writing. Call me at the shop (8am to 5pm usually) with your measurement and I'll check the opening in the adjuster for you while you're on the phone.
