Three sailors sailed all morning with good report.  The rest of the sheet was checked by plane, and better ice was observed.  Sheet is locked in by islands and in a strong westerly today, no sign of any seam working.  Several potential sites for set-up being explored.  Launched today from state park just south of Ceder River, about half way between Menominee and Escanaba.  Thick ice is grounded and could be the parking area.  Rough ice and a crack to cross to get on the big ice.

Additional exploration tomorrow.  Forecast for an Alberta Clipper (Fast moving cold front) Thursday with 30% chance of snow.

Executive committee holding powder dry until conference call Wednesday evening.  Expect posting on this site and on hotline immediately following.
