DN Sailors: Curious is the icebreaker will stay out of Green Bay for our Regatta? Remember the close call in 2007! Should somebody inquire......................?
Thanks

Thanks for the concern. The regatta organizers have already made the call to the appropriate people.

A quick update..
We got in the qualifiers (bronze and silver) and started the gold fleet race. The leaders in the gold fleet race didn't make the time limit so the race was black flagged.

Thank you Gretchen for the update..... I was on there earlier......your "Wooden Boat" photography is amazing. Beautiful vessels, wood and stainless details, and the way you have captured it all is sensational!

K11 here. Thanks to everyone who has looked after me over in the states, this was my first adventure, Ice boating over "the Pond". Special thanks to Ken Smith who picked me up, and Bob cummins who provided the DN and treck us around. for me it was a great experience to meet the other ice boaters I only read about, so the winning bit for me was to sail safely and meet new friends with the same goals. the rumours, moans etc about the ice are nothing new, all part of the adventure, well done to the organzing committee who I know have to juggle the limited information while keeping over a 100 iceboaters happy, not easy! Trying to explain to friends back home that i travelled 4000miles to sail one and half days is tricky! but that's not the point, it was being there that was point, whether you came last or not. better get ready for the next worlds! k11
