I got word that several local DN have been sailing Austin all week....... Bruce Williams stopped by yesterday and said they were ripping it up on short skates.  We plan on sailing Sat. Morning weather permitting.

Gull Lake looked good too last night.  No one had sailed it, but Al Stefanski came across it on his quad to the GLIYC meeting last night and said it was ready to sail.  Again not sure what todays rain will do to it.

Maybe I should have check the lakes only an hour away before heading north to check for ice....$%$##$%%^^

Can someone sailing Lake Austin or Gull lake call the Central Hotline and give an update.  Maybe pull together some scrub racing for the weekend.  RP

We're holding off for today. Bruce Williams will be checking Austin later today after the rain stops.  Trying again on Sunday after things harden up a bit.

Austin has 2' drain holes.  Enough said on racing there.
Gull has yet to be sailed.  Club members will be inspecting it tomorrow morning to see if it safe.  Hopefully tonights temps will be kind.
