The last post regarding the Central Regionals was on January 14th.
Is there any likelihood that this regatta will be held prior to the Worlds?

thank you

It is possible that the Centrals will be called on for Torch Lake.  Some areas in East and West Traverse Bays are also freezing over.  Torch was not ideal last Sunday but was raced all day Sat. and Sun.  There are lines of frozen slush following small cracks that were disturbing but could be raced over and there was about 1/8 inch of firm snow (65-70%). Needed 7-8 knots wind to race. The word that I here is that it has  cleaned up even more since Sun.  If nothing changes, I am sure there will be some serious scrub racing going on Fri-Sun.  I will try to update Thursday afternoon.  Central Hotline= 248-988-0851.

Should we change that?  There's a bridge across the straights now.  Probobly wasn't when the regions were drawn. I thought I had everybody fooled when the 2007 worlds/nac was split between MI and WI. I guess not; oh well, who cares?
Keep looking everyone, we've got six days to find regatta ice.  A little small (3/4 mile leg) will work if it has to.  The February sun should start helping out soon.
                            Thinking ice 24/7 right now,
